The Honda Civic Hybrid was introduced in 2002

The new Honda hybrid cars for 2010 include the Honda Civic Hybrid and Honda Insight hybrid raised in a convenient form of 4 doors. While the hybrid gasoline / electric are relatively new in the automotive market, Honda set the tone for the introduction of hybrid Honda Insight Hybrid original, in 1999.

New Honda Hybrid Cars: Civic Hybrid

The Honda Civic Hybrid was introduced in 2002 as a direct competitor to the Toyota Prius. The 2010 incarnation sports a 110-hp 1.3-liter i-VTEC 4-cylinder engine with Integrated Motor Assist (IMA) and the permanent magnet electric motor. The theory behind the hybrid Honda is simple; primary locomotion is provided for undernourished internal engine combustion not thirsty. The additional power for better acceleration is achieved by a small electric motor which is interposed between the engine and transmission.

The Honda Civic Hybrid has all the facilities of the model output cover EX (without sunroof) and adds more unique hybrid “goodies”. A CVT transmission, unique alloy wheels 15 “integrated turn signals in the exterior mirrors and automatic climate control are among the features reserved for this Honda hybrid car.

Honda Hybrid Cars: Overview

I sold when it was released the original Honda Insight Honda. It generated some exposure to traffic, but most of the conversations went something like this:

“Hi, I would like to see the new Honda Insight.”

“Of course, I have a right on the floor of here.”

“Cool! Where is the 4 door?”

“In fact, it is only available as a door-2”.
