Do you really want more of a Buick?

As for car brands go, Buick is simply a shell of itself. My statement is not intended to insult premium brand of GM, wedged between Cadillac and Chevrolet, and designed to appeal to customers who want some of the attributes of a luxury car without paying a dollar.

Rather, Buick problems can be attributed to the expansion of the GM brand that until recently included eight brands in North America, dilution and decreasing the power of its other brands. After his bankruptcy and restructuring in 2009, GM has paid four of those brands that meant I could start repairing Buick and his remaining three brands: Cadillac, GMC and Chevrolet.

Buick is a big seller in China through its history, dating back to the 1920s when the first Chinese emperor is mounted on a model of Buick. This positive impression was left with the Chinese that, despite a communist regime, recalled years later, when GM Buick reintroduced the brand worth buying a car. Today, Buick sales are several times higher in China than they are in North America, giving credence to the mark, at least in the eyes of Chinese consumers.

Buick in China also offers several other Buick models in North America, as it has to compete with other GM brands. In the US, only four Buick models are currently available, with more planned to deploy in the coming years. Please read on for an overview of the Buick fleet and the importance of each model.

Lucerne – Of the four model lines, Lucerne is the day of all. Loans of widespread technology in the early 1990s, this full-size sedan before driving wheel is powered by its front wheels. The body is smart and the car is a Cadillac DTS cheap to expensive alternative, but does not share with his cousin and first class. A 3.9L V6 powers of this sedan five or six passengers, but along with a four-speed automatic transmission date that produces 227 horsepower, performance numbers from a bygone era. Of course, the car is well equipped, but two ton front wheel drive cars are not appreciated precisely for its leadership, a weakness that has conspired to keep Lucerne low sales. As way down.

LaCrosse – Smaller than the Lucerne, but larger than most midsize sedans, the LaCrosse was all new for 2010 and has benefited from its new range of body style and engine 3.0L and 3.6 L V6 2.4L I4 including one published recently. All engines are mated to six-speed automatic transmissions. Producing 255 horsepower, this model produces 255 horsepower with 280 passengers or five most V6. If you want the economy, the four cylinders provide about 30 mpg on the highway, but that comes at the expense of nearly two tons of metal on the road. Imagine the strain on the engine when five people are in progress.

Enclave – This eight passengers to be considered the flagship of the fleet of Buick, a car that could have easily been sold as a Cadillac instead cross pattern. Do not think for a moment that was not lost on Cadillac dealers prefer to sell something less bulky (and blingy) the Escalade. Available in front or all four wheels, Enclave offers a single engine options: a 3.6-liter V6 mated to a six-speed automatic transmission. But this car produces 288 horsepower, direct-injection works effectively to squeeze all the power of it. Lots of goodies on offer at the Enclave security camera, Bluetooth connectivity, four-wheel independent suspension, Bose sound system, the list is long.

Regal – The new Buick is built in Germany with plans to start building it in Canada in the first quarter of 2011. Smaller than the LaCrosse for only six inches and about 229 pounds lighter, five-passenger sedan offers an engine 2 4 L I4 mated to a six-speed automatic transmission to deliver 30 mpg on the highway. Buick sold the car with a single trim level, CXL, which means you will have a well-equipped sedan and nothing less. In Europe, the car is sold as the Opel Insignia, which was to be sold here as the next generation Saturn Aura before GM decided to kill the Saturn brand. Traction control, XM radio, Bluetooth, OnStar and electric seat 12 positions are among the treats on offer with Regal.

Of the four models, Lucerne is the most problematic because of their age. Moreover, analyzing and soon realize that both the LaCrosse and Regal are built on the same Epsilon platform. In fact, Buick offers only two relevant models that highlights how the lack of product differentiation in the Buick line really is.

In the 1960s, Buick motto was: Would not you really rather a Buick? With few models on the horizon, make a case for Buick is hard to do unless you have your heart set on one of their current models. But considering that calls from brand to all people, mainly young silver hair that is supposed to keep the brand alive for many years will not be so easily convinced. GM to reinforce the line with relevance cars, buyers buy elsewhere, perhaps leaving the GM fold completely.
